10. This is the greatest chapter in the Bible on Christ’s resurrection and the implications for us. It is worth more than a pose to think about the wonder that sin no longer is an impediment to heaven. The greatness of our sin pales into insignificance when you think of the meaning of the cross and resurrection. It is time to rejoice!11. You and I will see our departed loves ones as well as those that we must leave behind someday. You and I have what is called hope. Death is not the end of life; it is the beginning of new life, a better life, and eternal life. Think of a “world” where pain, sorrow, darkness, loneliness, and bad memories will not longer exist.12. The truth of the resurrection should provide a new, different perspective on life that the voices of culture proclaim. This world and life in it are transitory; it is a best a vague shadow that serves as a pointer to a very superior life in the future. Do you have your heart set in “shadow land?” Or, are you on a journey of passage to a better land?13. Jesus is the Second Adam. The first Adam failed us bring the misery that has characterized the centuries of time. The Second Adam did not fail us; in fact, he restored to us the life that we lost in the first Adam. The first Adam brought expulsion from the presence of God (the Garden); the Second Adam will bring us to the new Garden where we will dwell in the presence of God forever. The first Adam died as we will; the Second Adam through His death brought us life.
