The plant considered here processes special waste called ‘‘mud’’,
which is characterized by an elevated content of water (80%). The
plant dries and shatters the mud, yielding dust with a residual
humidity of about 10%. The mud, which is to be dried and stored
in an external large case, is fed to a mixer. Here, the mud meets
recycled dried mud to derive the cyclones group. The mixer is a
continuous device in which the mud current to be treated and
the recycled current are homogeneously mixed.
