The first result of the in-depth case studies indicates that, to sustain continuous innovation, a firmmust develop global dynamic capabilities that facilitate simultaneous value creation. Interviews withthe management teams of PIMC and TPTC confirmed that puppet theater organizations rely on sixorganizational global dynamic capabilities: applying enabling technology creatively, seizing marketopportunities, aligning routes to markets, utilizing absorptive capacity, enhancing organizationalinnovation, and staging cultural/aesthetic productions (seeTable 1)(March, 1996; Lawson andSamson, 2001; Straub and Watson, 2001; Zahra and George, 2002b; Verona and Ravasi, 2003; Augierand Teece, 2007; Wilson and Daniel, 2006; Teece, 2006).This finding is consistent with that ofAugier and Teece (2007)who stressed the ability not just tosense changing market and technological opportunities, but also to seize them through effectuating‘‘new combinations.’’ Under these organizational global dynamic capabilities combinations, there arenine organizational resources: advanced technology experience,
