After reading “A Christmas Carol”, I really think that the main character, Scrooge, had a miserable life. If there is no friend, nothing will make you happy in life. How terrible it could be! I can’t picture the boring life like this to me. Scrooge used his lifetime to make money. He had a tedious life until the spirit of his old partner warned him that there would be three spirits showing him his past, present, and future. In the beginning, Scrooge didn’t believe that warning, but when spirits appear one after another, he started to take stock of it. During the process, and after the ghosts show up, Scrooge was so shocked and frightened that he made up his mind to alter for the better instead of the current situation. I’m so glad that Mr. Scrooge can change his mind in time. If the conclusion is Mr. Scrooge is still opinionated in the rest of his life, I would say it was just a normal story like others. Scrooge reminds me of my aunt. She is a narrow-minded and selfish woman just like the previous Scrooge. When I was reading this story, I often recall the way that she had treated my families. If there was a chance, I would like to share this fairy tale with her. Let the story tell her to be broader minded, and try not to be so niggardly. As far as I’m concerned, nothing is more important than my relatives and friends. Although lots of people may think money is everything, it is opposite to my idea. In my opinion, this story is trying to tell us, “Be generous, and then you’ll enjoy your life more comfortably!” To sum up, this is indeed a splendid story, I think. Do you agree with me?
