This war memorial stands overlookin

This war memorial stands overlooking the sea at the Esplanade. Built by the British to commemorate the brave soldiers in the Battle of Penang on 28th October, 1914 during the First World War. The original Cenotaph was destroyed during the Second World War and was rebuilt in 1948. Can be viewed along with the Jubilee Tower, Fort Cornwallis and Logan Memorial.
