2.2 Meteorological dataDue to the region’s topographical features, the meteorology information was characterized by data collected from several meteorological stations. The meteorological data used in the analysis were obtained from the Air Quality Network Cerrejón. This network consists of 19 surface stations of which 3 have automatic meteorological sensors. A station upwind the piles of studies (Vivienda) and two stations downwind of piles (Provincial and Casitas). The table 1 describe the location of the 4 monitoring stations of meteorological date for the year 2014 their location and elevations. Information vertical sounding was obtained from the Almirante Padilla Station (Lat -72° 93′; long 11° 53′, 4 meters elevation) from Riohacha City, 100 kilometers north of the mine.
