ALIGNMENT AND CIVIL WORKS
Generally, the analysis is conducted with the focus on the area within Malaysian borders. Any discussion related to Singapore is based on an outside-in perspective which Wilf be further studied in detail in cooperation with Singapore authorities.
Route alignment: the proposed alignment commences from KL Terminus (Bandar Malaysia) sharing tracks with the existing Express Rail Link ("ERL") route for 13.3 km
and transitions to a new proposed HSR alignment at Serdang. The new HSR
alignment is approximately 342.8 km in length traversing through four states narneiy
Selangor, Serernban, Melaka, and Johor before crossing the Tebrau Straits via a
proposed new bridge located parallel to the existing Second Link Bridge into
Singapore. There are three options for the terminal location in Singapore namely
Tuas, Jurong E-ast, and Marina Bay. This wiit be finalised based on discussions with
Singapore. A total operating distance from KL Terminus to Marina Bay station
356.1 km, including the shared ERL segment;
