Researchers from Charles Darwin University in Australia also explored a similar system[3], applying this to classes of young children, computer science students and mature students. The researchers concluded that there was strong support from the computer science students, but the unreliable wireless networking environment and both the physical size and battery life of the tablets made the system impractical for real-world use.
More recently, a group at the Open University introduced UniPad [2], an interconnected system of tablets and a wall display, designed for a frugal use of tablets in group settings.
