Histological hepatocyte inflammatio

Histological hepatocyte inflammation was assessed for liver tissue collected on d 18 of each period. Approximately 0.1 g (wet weight) of fresh liver sample was immediately placed in 1.5 mL of formalin for 24 h before being transferred to 70% ethanol and sent to the University of Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory for paraffin embedding and hematoxylin and eosin staining.
