Our results showed that the browning disorder in Asian peas was not associated with Ca content of leaves in all kinds of shoots or CaO content in soil. However, the browning incidence was related much more to Mg and K contents in fruiting spur leaves and in the soil. The K/Mg ratio even showed a highly positive liner regression with the browning severity level. This result implies that Mg variation and the orchard management leading to higher Mg efficiency should be focused more in the future studies.
